They myth people always think is if I get more traffic I will get more sales or conversions, this is true to a degree but the truth is if you just focus on traffic you will actually lose many sales. Making sales is not just about this huge traffic but creating conversions.
I would rather a site that is converting with less traffic than a site with high traffic that is not converting. Remember with a high converting site it makes it easier to purchase ppc or banner ads. You know your site will convert. Many people think traffic first conversion second while really it is conversions first traffic second. Don’t get me wrong you need traffic to test conversions but I am talking about big traffic.
I know many of you guys start off getting 10-20 visitors a day this is actually a great starting point and enough traffic to start testing conversions. There is on page conversions, sales conversions, auto responder conversions. Remember you need to be in front of your visitors all the time. Follow ups is another great way to raise sale conversions.
